They influenced Biggie and Big actually wanted LaD to have Tribe sounding beats.

If u just watch their documentary man they were amazing. U can just hear they had it on lock simply by the sonic transition from LET to Midnight Marauders. From the intro, concept, opening it up with World Premiere. That album is hip hop royalty.

Their expansion working with Dilla, Busta, the whole Native Tongue era. The list is massive

but Kast is entire reason an entire region of music blew up, Before them, Atlanta didnt get any radio play. Kast blew the doors off and made the south a stable in hip hop rather than some side show to the east and west

sure u can argue about who had more influence or w/e but way bigger is a massive stretch

And Biggie ended up working with Dilla and Busta too.

ATCQ influence is insane, straight snowball effect. Dudes introduced the world to people like J Dilla and Busta Rhymes ffs. Their influence is probably one of the strongest in the genre, it ranges from inspiring Kanye's earlier raps to inspiring Dr. Dre to focus on bass for The Chronic.
