Im gonna tell you guys a story well you listen

Take care was the first album I was fully onboard for drake, I was 13, had just gotten into drake end of 2010, friend put me on to thank me later around sept/oct 2010

After that I could not get enough, I wanted to hear everything from him but his discog was small at the time and it was very hard to get access to legit versions of comeback season and room for improvement so it was rough, s*** even so far gone was hard to get access too (shoutout to the people who remember the EP version on itunes)

I remember when marvins room leaked like early 2011 like jan/feb what a f***ing time, then headlines dropped, then make me proud leaked and right around that time like june/may was when the album rollout started and I was f***ing absolutely hyped

My birthday is November 3rd, I begged for an itunes card and to place a pre-order at our local CD store, I remember s***ting my pants calling them cause one store was sold out on pre-orders

I remember the day it dropped, I woke up early as f*** like 7/8 am, went to the mall and waited in line and picked up my copy, I also got a poster with the CD it was such a nice experience but I did not listen to it just yet, I got home and downloaded the album to my ipod, so I had the CD and itunes version (they were diff) then I waited till i went to my dads that night (parents divorced) and I got to my dads and I remembered talking to this girl I was seeing at the time (shoutout mary, hope life is doing great things for you) and we hung up and I went to my living room and put on the album, it was like 7/8 pm so dark and moody

That first listen changed my life, it felt like he was talking to me directly, right after I went and popped the CD into my player and just listened again well looking at the booklet and putting the poster on my wall, one thing ill never forget is the poem at the end of the booklet, I dont think ive had an album release like that since s*** i dont know but a long time def not since streaming has been around so like 2016 forward, im 25 turning 26 nov 3rd and its been a ride for sure, I know his career will come to a close in the next 5-10 years so Im trying to appreciate every moment
