What’s wrong with it if an artist has leftovers they want to release in some capacity without using them for a separate project?

30 For 30 ain’t touching Throw Some Ds. They should’ve left that alone
Or just pull a kendrick and "reincarnate" remake the throw some d's beat.
Comparing one of the best mixed albums in any genre all time to this
Ofc LANA didn’t stand a chance
2001 and Aja sound amazing
2001 and Aja sound amazing
2001 mixing is astonishing
That s*** was in 1999 and sounds better then some albums mixed in 2024

Sure, but that’s still the artist having to both distance themselves from the current album’s era and also release a project that’s seen as a new offering.
It seems like most of these Lana songs were recorded during the SOS sessions, so I can understand why they’re the deluxe to SOS
Summay'all gon get washed
Summay'all just gon pop shiiit
For those hatin on 30 for 30 it's a bigger picture that joint gonna go off on the tour
also yall caling a compilation of b-sides that DIDNT make the album mixed bad.
NIGGA THEY DIDNT MAKE THE actual ALBUM LOL.

Well no they’re mixed bad because they had the engineer doing 20-hour crunch shifts
B-sides don’t have to inherently be mixed worse

I get the criticism but I think SZA and Kendrick both did good on it. I love Kendrick verse on it.

It's part of the reason why I just can't listen to any of the newer Dre joints. 2001 not only sounds amazingly crisp, but every song gets to breathe, if you know what I mean

I don't really hear the bad mixing tbh but your point about it being leftovers and that's why it's mixed bad doesn't make sense when she pushed it back half a day for mixing lol

No that's not the reason lol
Her engineer was legit sleep deprived mixing these for hours with no sleep

Yeah I do
Missionary was so overproduced on 85% of it

Yeah I agree here
Though if I'm honest I do think Compton was mixed incredibly well, on par with most of dres best sonics
