when u have listened to a song hundreds of times and spent countless hours listening to different mixes of it, ur ears will get used to some things. compared to a first time listener, there will be things u don't notice, and things u like now but maybe only clicked bc of the amt of time u spent w the song.

that means there's sometimes situations where the mix that the artist likes the best is not what the people like. We saw this happen with Drake on Search n Rescue, for example.
