What about this is industry games? SOS is one of the most successful albums of the decade.

This seems to be songs that she recorded during the SOS sessions but still wants to release in some capacity, so instead of making her 3rd studio album leftovers from the 2nd one, she’s just dropping them as a deluxe for the 2nd one

with all the back and forth that's happened with this project in the last year, we can't be too sure about this until it drops. i'm thinking it'll be a mix of SOS session songs which fans will likely be able to identify thru snippets/song names, and a few fresh joints.

wonder how many Sza fans have seen Meet the Parents. the idea of a 16 year old watching that vid and not having any idea who ben stiller is is very funny to me

Yeah on a more serious note quickly, I think the part we as fans downplay (and artists express) is their personal connection to the music they're releasing. Artists have to sit on music so long sometimes, and it starts to sound worse, or get tired/boring to them, or the other various things that psych people out when they're doing something so vulnerable. They go back and keep tweaking and reworking to keep it fresh for them until they finally have no choice but to turn it in for mass consumption. S*** has to be frightening I imagine, no matter how many times you do it. There's really no telling how much work SZA and her team have done on these songs regardless of how long some of them have existed in previous forms, you know? So I do get it from that standpoint.

It is basically her third album but I think it may be partially made up of sos extras

Think this may be like the sos version of that A / CTRL deluxe / new tracks / Z throwaways project she was talking about

Yeah I get that I just wish it was 15 tracks on their own no matter if they are left overs at this point who gives a f***, rather than a total 38 tracks

I know awards to some mean nothing but like she potentially missing out on an album of the year grammy's nom and s*** for the sake of streams?

Idk if it’s really about streams I think it’s about her maximizing longevity sales for SOS while also not putting out old songs as new material

If it really is mostly old songs I feel like this actually has more artistic merit then her doing a whole new thing w it, while also being able to add to SOS longevity

It may even be longer because I think Saturn and PSA may end up being on there (if it’s really a deluxe with all the songs) and those may not even be counted in the 15

I wonder if two of those 15 will end up being the digital bonus tracks from SOS... those still aren't on streaming for memory, are they?
