This definitely the case for Rashad. He waited so long to drop it that he’s scared of expectations when he finally does so he’s holding onto it and questioning himself. Happens to all of us and he’s only human

Top and Punch run the label weird where they have so many high profile artists who all could drop like q and SZA and I’m pretty sure rock and soul have complained about this, meanwhile reason gets 10 single drops, and they treat the whole label as one unit where they can’t drop too many projects by the label too quickly, like q can’t drop too soon after soul, etc

But at the same time w an artist like SZA a lot of the delay is on her personally

Artists need to get more into making mixtapes, where it is okay to miss cause don’t nobody care that hard about tapes to hate you for dropping a mid one.

It also helps build confidence for the artists to drop more.
