So it’s very similar to ragnarok then. Ehh
Seems to have the same issue from what I've seen.
Great acting but underdeveloped writing for the villain.
Heavy humor that makes some of the plot feel stakeless.
Why does the plot being stakeless a bad thing?
Not everything gotta have a Thanos like villain lurking around the corner. Maybe directors just wanna tell a story

Also heard that Bale was great and nothing otherwise

Yeah but I think a good action flick should have tense moments, and sometimes the MCU films (and especially Ragnarok) never take themselves seriously long enough to put actual weight behind anything.

maybe i f***ing like stakes
How is feeling like Rick and Morty a bad thing? That show has way more hits than misses. It’s way better written than that last Dr Strange movie at any rate.
First 3 seasons? Yeah. Everything after? Hell nah

If this dude doesn’t give it at least an 8 u know its trash smh
I don’t trust this nerd in any capacity

Stakes are what makes any plot interesting, let alone a superhero flick
The standards cannot be THIS low man

He’s probably seeing similar reviews and adapting to that
He did the same when he saw first 2 ms marvel eps for the review embargo, called them mid and then backtracked and said they’re amazing when everyone else saw them and liked them

If you need stakes to make a plot “interesting”, then somebody did something wrong.
Sure they do make action/superhero movies really interesting, but not everything has to tie into Kang the Conqueror prepping the Secret Wars or whatever is gonna happen. Regardless, it sounds like this movie gets tense and personal and characters will likely die so I’d say there’s some stakes involved
Feige even said he gonna explain what’s gonna happen in due time, probably at SDCC and D23. We can have some stories being told in the lead up to the next big bad being officially revealed like Moon Knight did and Ms. Marvel is currently doing
That’s what movies like Ant Man 3 are for. THAT is gonna have high stakes

What a f***ing clown

He’s talking about general f***ing stakes in a movie.
What is at stake?
What are the consequences if Gorr wins, what are the losses in the midst of this battle with Gorr?
For instance Ragnarok’s stakes had Asgard, it had the death of the warriors 3.
What is suppose to emotionally get us involved, what is at stake? If we take Gorr seriously as a villain we have to keep in mind what is at STAKE

Thanks I know
Clearly missed the last sentence I had there
