I like The Scotts and Panini
going through their beats rn and theyre not bad but they aren't sticking
What about Industry baby?! Do u not like that beat?
Overly polished bland garbage
They have 3 number 1s. I thought that’s all that matters on this site.

They're basically gentrifying, or at least heavily helping to, the rap "sound". For that alone they should be banned from ever making a beat again

I mean when it comes to watered down pop-rap production, I have bad news for you about the entire past decade and a half since RedOne and Alex Da Kid popped off lol

Clams and 40 had rap sounding like it was underwater an actual decade ago

Yeah I know but I feel like Take a daytrip are actually taking this gentrifying thing to ten no pun intended (especially in an era where music has a bigger reach thanks to streaming services)
but blah. are you not going sicko mode
just googled. they did not help with that song

You make a good point and I could see an argument for them specifically gentrifying the pop-trap sound tbh even though I do like their stuff

Blending rap production with another genre is not gentrifying it in my books. And the artists Clams worked with for example are def not pointing toward any real willingness to turn his sound into a mass consumption item.

Ah well Beastie Boys did both in the 80s.
This too
Decent song but it being decent has nothing to do with the vanilla beat
If you dont like Mo Bamba pls leave
Thats one hot bassline
One of my favorite stupid Twitter moments in recent years was Zedd trying to s*** on that song from a music theory perspective
