Take Care means a lot to me. I remember it being the first album I really anticipated and followed the roll out for. I would be checking the OVO Blog daily to see if something was posted at night on my busted ass laptop that I had hooked up to my TV. Being up the night he dropped Marvins Room on the OVO Blog. Watching the Headlines video for the first time. Everything about this era made me the Drake fan I am today. Take Care got me through my first break up in high school, great times with my friends over the years and so much more. To me it’s a time stamp of when I was young and had the world ahead of me. That statement isn’t too dissimilar to Drake’s position in the industry when this dropped. This era also introduced the world to The Weeknd. I would say this era birthed the two biggest stars in music on the big stage and it introduced me to one of my favorite artists of all time. If Thank Me Later was the debut that brought Drake into the limelight, Take Care solidified his place in the game.
