i feel like people got desensitised to the 70s/80s vibes and underrated this single. the sound design of that part your talking about is so crazy

yea the third hook with the underlayed layered vocals creating a chord or something. it's next level. brilliant and tuly underrated song.

also, the keyboard-like synths during the verses (starting 00:32) sound SO MUCH like Eye In The Sky by Alan Parsons Project
gives the song a nice early 80s feel
