I loved the opener but thought it may have sounded a hair thin at the very worst. As far as like developing out song concepts. A 1 or 2 is crazy imo. Ah well

Yeah this is house inspired jam/psych imo, a lot of it isn’t even so much house as it is electronic pop/R&B influenced. Like if this is house then Gordo is Marshall Jefferson lmao

This is where reviews like Fantano lose me.

It's one thing to say this isn't as good as previous albums. Can be of the opinion that this is their worst album.

But to me a 1 or 2 out of 10 would be the album isn't really listenable. And when you look at other albums that he has rated similary, he's not really being consistent with his rating scale.

To me, people that do this are just fishing for comments. But all it does IMO is hurt their credibility.

Things like that Pitchfork review just feel like some music can't be deemed acceptable or "fine", it's only mediocre

funnily enough that feels more like gnx for Kendrick since it's a departure from his usual heavily conceptual albums. Morale was just the one that was the most polarizing
