After taxes, rent, utility expenses, student loan repayments, transportation I barely have anything to go into savings
This doesn’t touch the costs of trying to plan for kids, sending money to old parents etc
I pay 1360 for my portion of rent which is considered a great deal here when a STUDIO is 2k-3K and I have no car
I live in NYC so I pay pretty much the highest tastes in America
Most in NYC making 70k have to live with roommates to afford a place to live
