With Taylor most people only know Shake it Off lol.

You're tripping if you think Gen Z listens to Madonna like that.

Zoomers more so know Madonna as a pop culture icon than her music.

I remember even telling a younger employee at my job that Material Girl is a Madonna song when it played on the radio and she was surprised lol.

You're probably right. Madonna is the biggest female act overall so it makes sense.

But, now that I think about it, I realized that quite a few songs that I heard constantly on the radio were from Taylor and I never realized it.

So, I think it's a matter of Taylor not being as iconic as Madonna more than people only knowing Shake It Off. Taylor had more of a boring girl next door image compared to being flamboyant and colorful like Madonna or Gaga.

You don't sell out stadiums across the globe and have the highest grossing tour ever with the masses only knowing one song lol.
