The chorus sounds like it should be a different song. The verses are moody then the chorus isn’t idk

That’s intentional. The hook sounds brighter because of the major chords while the verses are based on minor chords. The verses are telling you the nitty gritty of the story so it sounds more serious, while the hook is a romantic view of the relationship
