she's 15 years in and has arguably been the biggest artist in the world for 13 of them. u out here acting like she's katy perry. none of these other pop girlies can compare. nobody else in modern music can.
we don't know what her legacy will be 50 years from now, but saying "u couldn't agree more" with someone saying she'll be largely forgotten about is wild.

Katy Perry had 5 #1s and 2 #2s and a #3 on ONE album! People thought she was untouchable! And no offense to Lady Gaga but at one point she was the biggest most talked about celebrity on Earth. Once Taylor becomes irrelevant she will be in the bargain bin just like NSYNC (sold 2m first week) Backstreet boys, Limp Bizkit (sold 1m first week), MC Hammer (went diamond, album was #1 for 20+ weeks), Vanilla Ice, etc.

She is an interesting case at this point though where she’s basically only big with women and is kind of just speaking to her fanbase since Reputation. She’s not as universal today as she once was, and will her fanbase be enough to carry her legacy in 50 years?

Part of why I really don’t like her — she feels too inauthentic and manufactured for maximum profits rather than actually caring about the craft of her music

im sure the system inflates it somewhat artificially, but there naturally has to be some sort of a demand to even consider instating something like that in the first place
