not fall off entirely, just that pop music in general is moving in a different direction of which I didn't expect Taylor to adapt to
I feel you but if anything it kinda makes Taylor a treasure trove as a sort of old vanguard of pop music now. Though while not fully kidding of how Taylor's race plays a role, no matter how sizeable, her overall character and treatment of her fans--consistently putting out music she knows they'll like is why she's stayed at the top and is an example of just plain good, honest artistry.
