lol Redemption was not a album Real hiphop clowns would listen to so idk what u mean about jay rock

Jay Rock said he recorded about 100 tracks and just let the label choose what they wanna use for the album. They went with the most radio friendly tracks. It wasn't a bad album but I just know for a fact that any person with semi functional ears could've built a wayyy better, more west coast gangsta sounding album.

    That’s what i’m getting at.
People want that album, but instead we just get an album that’s okay at best for the sake of pushing sales. Like they really chose Win and King’s Dead as the lead singles for Redemption.

Never said we weren’t getting good projects though. Alfredo, RTJ4, Miles by Blu & Exile out now on all streaming services

Terrible label and everyone on it whilst i enjoy the music, this especially applies to zay, is a massive dork and cry baby which is why they are so shambolic

Oh I gotchu. Yeah I agree that was weird and disappointing. They thought it would make Jay Rock a star like Kendrick, SZA and Q. Now Gibbs is bigger than him 💀

It's the idea of a hip hop group/collective that ppl seem to miss, not necessarily a record label.

yeah nah i feel that, it's definitely been a while since a hip hop collective came through with that consistency....
early 2010s had GOOD Music, Raider Klan, TDE, Odd Future, ASAP Mob, Bruiser Brigade, hella crews!!!!
i guess the second half of 2010s - now hasn't really had the same vibes - a lot of those crews sizzled down

Lol considering tde's track record with their last signings im scared too. Crazy how much that label fell off, need kendrick, sza, isaiah, q, jay rock and soulo to get the f*** out of there

ive loved everything Kendrick has put out so far but if he puts out an album and it's filled with stuff like

"i keep it tucked and i watch your pockets" and then reveals hes rapping from the perspective of Benjamin Franklin's face on a 100 dollar bill in some dude's wallet or some s***

    im out

    oh this is hilarious

I know it's "boring" that Kendrick never had any label drama unlike all the other rappers.. I ask myself how sometimes too

Huh? He’s been having tons of “drama”. Nigga been trying to get out of his bad deal for the past 3 yrs. y’all do real don’t know this??

Why are people not taking me seriously on this. There’s obviously no direction for any artists on this s*** show of a label

It’s your fault you made them this important in your head

They gonna drop when they drop and normal people gonna be like sick what a surprise and be happy

I’m pretty sure people tweeting at punch was trending when it happened.

The average person actually is disappointed thatSZA hasn’t put out anything in dumb long, that Isaiah has taken 4 f***ing years without a peep like he’s frank (won’t be a problem if the music is good but still) and most people are very let down with q rock and soul recent output

That idea flopped majorly. Went to the Q x Rock tour in february this year and almost no one in the audience knew any Jay songs. Kinda felt sorry for him since he got a lot of dope s***, 90059 was really good.
