It's been two years since its release and it continues to be pretty divisive. It flopped commercially (my s*** might go platinum first week ), had a botched and horrible rollout and divided a lot of us despite the hype. But imo, it had a lot of artistry and great moments, and holds up to be his best and most introspective album yet
-ASAP Forever is a great song imo, and one of the best music videos in the last decade. Just amazing.
-Great features from FKA twigs, Dev Hynes, Skepta and Frank with a brilliant verse. Praise the Lord was everywhere, even if rocky is 'scared' of hits for some reason
-Amazing production. Fukk Sleep, Changes, Hun43rd, BUCKSHOTS? Do i have to say more? Rocky always has A1 production and here was no different
You also had more personal tracks that were well done. Black Tux White Collar, Changes, Purity, that last stretch was a good way to end the album, and rocky had a pretty emotional last verse on it. Overall imo while his lyricism fell a few levels off from ALLA, there were more great moments on here that make up for it. I still feel like his best is yet to come
You say that like any of his albums are great. His best project is still his Live Love ASAP. I’m waiting on his classic album.
You mention features but not cudi who has the best feat next to Skepta
Album was a letdown tho it lacks structure and was overly ambitious to a fault.
Not a bad thing as I’d rather have someone who falls short because they tried something different than just repeating the same formula but it’s not anywhere near as good as ALLA or LLA.
By far his worst and the sales reflect it lol.
Sales don't reflect quality dumbass

yeah agreed. the best production on all of his albums. lyrics aren't great but I never went to Rocky for his lyrics. Saying that, his verse on Purity was pretty powerful even if it's very simple
