It makes the album way better though. Playing With Fire is kind of the rockstar moment on the album which captures the vibe wayne was on at that time and is an emotional high point, it’s kind of a sister song to Shoot Me Down and really gave back half of the album a lot more weight to it. Those two songs reenforce each other in a great way. Like it felt like a back half of an album.

P**** Monster in its place makes it feel like more casual and more like a typical hip hop album, it’s kind of a filler in context and makes the album significantly weaker

Also I just realized you might’ve been referring to the “leaked C3” which is definitely worth a listen but there’s no consensus on a tracklist for that, there’s just like a ton of songs (50-100 I think) that were meant for it and there was a great compilation of them all on here. But no one knows what a real OG 2007 C3 would’ve looked like.

Those leaks being forgotten to time sucks too but it’s understandable. What really bothers me is that people going to listen to Carter 3 on streaming today on its anniversary, won’t be hearing the album in the same form we heard 15 years ago today.

Yeah I was referring to leaks, I thought it was a Nas I am situation where there's kinda a consensus on the tracklist.

But I actually didn't know there was a og tracklist besides the leaks. Will have to try that one out

Yeah unfortunately there’s not really a tracklist for the leaks, it’s a project I’ve thought about taking on to make a good fan made version but it’s really tough to narrow down the leaks. La La La and I Feel Like Dying are a couple of the most iconic of course

As for the real C3, Playing With Fire was removed for sample issues but it was always one of my favorites on the CD I had
