Top 10 Albums Chosen By Non-Binary People
    1. Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

    This is interesting, why?

I wouldn’t put too much thought into it it’s like 3 non binary people out of a random million human beings

Honestly Punisher is actually a very strong album. Phoebe Bridgers' celebrity status just overshadows it now and is a big reason why it gets memed

    Def not top 30 tho

Pitchfork only difference is it’s a bit more indie/rock driven but otherwise it looks identical

Well when you compile and organize information across a massive audience then there will be inevitable similarities

If there’s generally accepted best albums then it’s not just KTT or Pitchfork specific but more generalist because those projects have achieved consensus

    It’s basic statistics

Idc about all that I’m just making the point that the audiences are very similar.

The audience is just online music fans though

It’s a very generalist crowd but they’re United in a vested interest in music

Obviously including a casual crowd will add a lot of variance

This. People can complain about how bland the list is but if you compile the same from the majority of social media/music platforms for the same time period you will end up with very similar lists.

Radiohead, Kanye, Frank, and Kendrick will invariably end up top 10 in almost every list

That Wilco ranking has to be rigged. Idk any mfs who rep that album, not even music nerds on the internet

People are like “wow these lists are so boring they’re all the same albums”

I disagree. In real life i’ve witnessed much less of a bias towards these specific Top 20 albums. Not talking about casuals either. It’s just the specific crowd of KTT and Pitchfork intersect in a lot of ways.

    So just internet music fans

RYM has nearly the same list, I’m sure the similarities would be evident in r/hiphopheads, r/music, /mu/, and other forums like ovoforums and section80
