    KTT2 Edition!
    ---hosted by og---

WARNING: This is a TOUGH, RIGOROUS game that requires PATIENCE AND DEDICATION. If you choose to play, JUDGE OR LABEL OWNER, you must commit to playing the WHOLE WAY THROUGH. If you cannot commit AT LEAST 1 MONTH to this game, please do not play. You will be taking a spot away from somebody who is actually willing to be active and participate. Label Owners and Judges should view this thread multiple times per day throughout this game. IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT ANY OF THE AUCTION DAYS WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, YOU WILL BE DROPPED AND REPLACED IMMEDIATELY.

In this game, get fake money, bid on real artists (and producers) and then create tracklists (albums) for the artists on your label! Judges will decide the winner! To join, say IN and specify if you want to have a label or judge!

    1. To start, everyone will PM me 3 artists, 3 producers, and the name of their label. These artists will be auctioned off. There will be a mixture of auction rounds, PM rounds, and blind auctions

    2. Everyone will start with $500M. Once an artist/producer is won, you can return the artist after the current draft day at a 75% sell back rate.

    3. There will be no cap on any artist, but you CANNOT raise bids by more than $30M per bid.
(min. increment is set at $5M). Bidding starts at $10M for in thread auctions.
Please do not run the bid up purposely)

    4. Any artist that has multiple talents can be used in any manner so long as you have signed the artist to your label.

    5. Artist features & production credits can be sold to other players or traded in exchange for other features. All trades must be close to, or equal value. (No unlimited features/production credits allowed). PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO REPORT ANY TRADES TO ME DURING AUCTION PERIODS. YOUR REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED UNTIL THE ROUND IS OVER.

    6. uAfter the auction phase/u, we will enter a freebie draft. Everyone will PM me a number between 1-100 and the person closest to my number will have the first pick in the draft. There will be 5 rounds and you will chose up to 5 artists of your choice that hasn't already been auctioned off (with the exception of dead artists). The draft will be snake style.
    sub1st Round/sub (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) sub2nd round/sub (8, 7, 6, 5, etc.), subetc./sub

    7. Periodically throughout the game, labels will get to buy unclaimed artists at $10M each (five at a time).

    8. After the draft, players will have time to get features and start creating their albums. You'll be judged on 3 different rounds:
Round 1: 2 solo projects, the album MUST be an album from what artist/grouping only, no collabs or label albums
Round 2:1 collaborative LP from with a randomly selected partner
and 1 Final LP, this may be any album of your choosing (label album, collab, solo, etc.)
EACH ALBUM MUST HAVE A TRACKLIST.

    9. Album covers are a must, but they won't have any significant effect on the final score,
(not everyone is a photoshop master) and it's purely for aesthetics. (be sure to include a dope album cover though!!!)

    10. Judges will determine which albums are better based on quality, originality, use of features/production, and creativity. Need active, open minded judges. Judges must be just as active itt as the players. There will be no resubmitting of scores once they have been posted

    11. Commercial Success: After each round, depending on which of your artists drops an album, you will be rewarded money to buy more artists, features, and production (example: a Drake album will probably earn you a lot while a Raury album will probably earn you not so much) This has no effect on your album rating, but rewards people who go out to get the A-List artists. The artist, production, features, and stand-out songs will all factor into how much money you will receive. Now let me add something to this section, the release of singles and/or promo of any sorts will boost these sales. Note: This is extremely important given the new increase in price of freebies.

    12. Also, given the increase in the price of freebies, there will also be label sponsorships available as there were in previous games. These will come in a multitude of ways and will be available sporadically.

    13. REMINDER: Albums turned in past the due date will be labeled as color=redLATE/color and receive a deduction in final score.

*All results will be added at the end (mario kart style)* to determine the winner:

    1st Place 🏆
    2nd Place 🥈
    3rd Place 🥉**

    Judges Guidelines

I usually do not give guidelines to judges, but due to popular demand, I have constructed a basic list of do's and don'ts for judges to follow. Obviously, I can't 100% enforce these rules so we will go by the honor system. If any judge openly admits to breaking the rules, they will be removed immediately and banned from playing in future label games.

    • When grading albums, please research artists you are unfamiliar with. Albums should be graded based on how good they are, not on how popular the artist is. You should also read write-ups and click links if provided. Players work hard on these so ignoring them is disrespectful.

    • I get that it is impossible to be unbiased, but please at least try. If you have a burning hatred for Playboi Carti or a deep infatuation for Frank Ocean, do not let that cloud your judgement for grading albums. However, let's say you love Frank Ocean. If the album is good, feel free to give the album a 10 because the player made a great Frank Ocean album, not just because the player made a Frank Ocean album. If you hate Playboi Carti and the player makes what seems to be, "just another Playboi Carti album, give them a bad score and tell them why. IF YOU CANNOT GET PAST YOUR HATRED OF AN ARTIST PLEASE DO NOT PLAY. WE ARE NO LONGER DESPERATE FOR JUDGES. WE ONLY WANT FAIR JUDGES.

    • Please do not add or remove points to the album because of the album’s cover. Covers can set the mood for the album and show you how much time was spent making the project, but they shouldn't be the a reason why a player gets a good or bad score. You are only allowed to remove points for a bad cover if it is blatantly bad and you can tell that the person did not put the time and effort into it.

    • A score out of 10 is required for each player (6/10, 7.5/10, 8.2/10, 9/10, etc.)
Please post scores in the thread or PM me the scores.

    • Feedback isn't required, but don't be an a******. If someone asks for feedback please give it to them.

    • Other than that, feel free to judge however you want. Don't let any of the players bully you for higher scores. I've played with most of them and trust me, if you give them a low score, they probably deserve it.
