This track was in formed in 2019 when Abel was invited to a session with Pharrell at his home studio located in Beverly Hills in 2019. Bloodshed was the one of many songs that were made from the 2019 sessions but during them Pharrell supposedly told Abel that this is "the one that they need to hear first".
Bloodshed starts off with Pharrell's signature 4 count into the distorted instrumental coupled with deep drums and roaring bass. About 15 seconds in Abel hops onto the beat and details how this is the last time he let's someone play with his heart. Explaining how his last girl was a fluke who only wanted something temporary while also hinting he knew from the jump. The hook starts and he warns his next "bitch" that if she plays him again that there will be bloodshed. The track ends with an ominous laugh.
