"Christopher Brent Wood, or better know known as Brent Faiyaz along with producers Dpat & Atu form a group entitled Sonder. Today they are releasing their Debut Studio Album entitled, Illusions which is a follow up to their debut ep, Into which released in 2017. On this project, Sonder decide to take it back deep into the roots of what makes R&B what it truly is and the answer to that is LOVE. This is a very beautiful put together project that puts a strong emphasis on what Love truly means and the different ways of showing and expressing love, how it is formed, how it is lost and what drives people mad for it. Throughout this project, Sonder pay tribute to the golden eras of R&B by sampling many legendary r&b songs and artists throughout this album. The sound on this album is very Neo-Soul influenced and has a laid back, chill, coffee shop type vibe. This album is heavily inspired by albums such as, Brown Sugar & Voodoo by D'Angelo, The Diary Of Alicia Keys by Alicia Keys, Floetic by Floetry, 8701, My Way & Confessions by Usher, 112 by 112, Heart Break by New Edition, Where I Wanna Be by Donell Jones and so many other r&b albums that really helped to shape the amazing genre."

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye AKA The Weeknd has finally released his long awaited album, destinesia. Abel began forming the album in 2018 amid his very public relationship at the time. He initially planned to make it Pop/EDM based. But after that same relationship ended Abel fell into a dark depression and scrapped the entire album. Abel relapsed and began taking up his old crutches such as MDMA, cocaine and shrooms. He listened to musicians such as Solange, Sampha, Dev Hynes, Rick James and Whitney Houston for creative drive. Abel also had drew major inspiration from his earlier works but at the same time did not want them to be simply just sequels. He has since gotten clean but during that dark period is when destinesia was formed. He wanted this album to be a log of his journey of fame, heartbreak and addiction then place it into full circle for others to experience. This intro is a slow burn for sure. Starting with low bass slowing increasing as the seconds continue to build up. Just as the samples guitar kicks in The Weeknd's harmonizes with it into a soft yet electric mantra about the whirlwind that comes with fame and love but to not forget who you are and why you doing what you do.

2) Vampires Feat. Kid Cudi (3:05)

Vampires starts immediately with roaring bass and drums from Kanye production that sets the mood for the track off top. Unpause is a trippy track that's meant to give you the feeling of being stuck in time. Abel shows off his versatility on this track with a combination of both rapping and singing. The switch completely changes the experience of the track into a slow motion collage of emotional vocals from both artists.

4) Ecstasy (3:27)

Perfectly named track where Abel describes his d***ged out night life and his addiction of it. The track is meant to give you the impulse to dance and move. Abel talks about how he never wants the night to end and how nothing can match the feeling out it. Much like ecstasy.

5) Bloodshed (3:22)

Bloodshed starts off with Pharrell's signature 4 count into the distorted instrumental coupled with deep drums and roaring bass. About 15 seconds in Abel hops onto the beat and details how this is the last time he let's someone play with his heart. Explaining how his last girl was a fluke who only wanted something temporary while also hinting he knew from the jump. The hook starts and he warns his next "bitch" that if she plays him again that there will be bloodshed. The track ends with an ominous laugh.

6) Searching (1:57)

Searching's all too familiar sample can be heard in the background with it's banging bass but now coupled with electric guitar riffs and Abel's emotional vocals. This is a track about finding someone you can trust your pain and secrets with. This track directly relates to his last relationship.

7) Ashes (SZA Interlude) (2:22)

Ashes slows the pace of the album back down as the soothing guitar from the sample sounds off on this track. SZA takes lead on this as she whispers sweet affirmations that every heartache will be worth it but not to let it dissolve into nothing waiting too long. Like a fire that burns into ash.

8) WARTORN Feat. Travis Scott

Wartorn aims to hit as hard as possible. Abel put his all into this one and he wants you to know it. He powerfully drops his vocals on the vibrating bass and snares of this track. Travis hops on just as the drums kick in to give a heavy verse which ties the end of the track and the hook. It's meant to hit you in the chest with cold lyrics about deceit and rage.

As the last track on the album Abel knew it had to be important. After a powerful lead up to the beat drop he delivers lines of d***ged out melodies about how the pursuit of love is what drives us and to not let it be your last drive. At the end of the song Abel thanks the listener for being his diary.
