They've been sleeping and will continue to
Some thoughts:
-I've heard 36 of these, which I feel like is more than normal
-A lot more RateYourMusic-core than I was expecting
-Singer/songwriters dominated, especially female ones
-Charli and Rina are disgustingly low, but they gave each a 7.7 so it's not a shock
-Glad to see Soft Pink Truth, Destroyer and Roisin Murphy land spots
-I wish that US Girls album was as good as they thought it was
BNMs that they felt weren't worth including:
Gil Scott-HeronMakaya McCraven - We’re New Again: A Reimagining by Makaya McCraven (I love this album; it will be on my list)
Julianna Barwick - Healing Is a Miracle (very good, relaxing record)
Medhane - Cold Water (didn't even know this got BNM)
Blake Mills - Mutable Set
Popcaan - FIXTAPE
Touché Amoré - Lament (one of their better records IMO)
Amaarae - The Angel You Don’t Know
Angel Bat Dawid/Tha Brothahood - LIVE
Jyoti - Mama, You Can Bet!
Fireboy DML - APOLLO
