Herbert Anthony Stevens IV, better known as Ab-Soul, is an American hip-hop artist from Carson, California, who came up alongside his T.D.E. labelmates Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, and Schoolboy Q.

As of the present, he has released 4 independent studio albums with T.D.E., as well as two mixtapes, and collaborated with other artists like Jhene Aiko, Mac Miller, Vince Staples, Da$h, Bas, Danny Brown, JMSN, Lupe Fiasco, among others.

yep I most likely outgrew him simply, I mean CS is great since it holds some nostalgic value and is Soulo at his peak. I just don't care for rest of his work anymore.

I'll still give his upcoming album a listen, based on the freestyle he released this year seems like he's back in his bag

Control System was def a very high bar. I think the death of Alori really affected him though. A lot of CS was made before she died.

Yea it was quite obvious her death caused big loss of motivation in him, he was supposed to drop that collab album with JMSN in early 2013 but decided to scrap it.

He was just lost around that time and can't blame him, very tough thing to go through
