This is why reading stats in basketball reference isn’t conducive lol what the f*** is this.

Are we really pointing out 10 point losses as blowouts? Look at the play by play of those games and look how close they were. And in the FIVE blowouts, you think that’s why his stats are what they are?

Ironically, all his WORST stat lines are in those five blowouts you proved my point. in crying

3-10,7-15,5-11,10-17, 5-12.

He had 15 “clutch” games and those are all his best games, he was ranked second in clutch scoring after Dame.

Omg meta what are you doing. Tatum has never been as efficient as Lavine. Lavine averaged more points more efficiently LAST YEAR, and the year before. Their efficiency is NOT close, Tatum is at 57% compared to 63. Hes been showing it for years stop assuming bad teams don’t have close games, and stop giving people points for having better teammates

In some of those double digit Ls he had good performances and they trailed the whole game... The point is he did this for 35 games... LOL...15 clutch games? LOL Once again... He has to show more for a longer stretch of games with more defensive focus and higher leverage situations.

Lavine and Tatum have the same career TS%.
Lavine has an argument THIS season as this year was a breakout for Lavine in regards to scoring efficiency as he went over 60% TS% for the first time in his career, but I need to see if this continues going forward...

Bulls were 22-43 last year... 22-60 the year prior.... 31-41 this year which is an improvement, but scoring impact, defensive attention, and the fact that Lavine has had A TON more garbage time games over the course of his career and especially his time with the Bulls is factored in.

Tatum has been in far more high leverage game/possessions and seen more defensive attention in general... What Tatum has done should be given more value than what we've seen Lavine do.... We can't assume Lavine would do the same or better till he does.... Could he? Sure, but he doesn't get accredited for what he has yet to show.
