I work with the FDA, CDC, EPA & USDA every single day. While there are brilliant minds sporadically throughout...for the most part these people are just like u and I (meaning they learn as they go)

Also, science by nature is flawed. It’s literally repeating a process until you receive the result you want (or don’t want) enough times to convince yourself of what you seek. It’s okay to admit they (& we) don’t fully understand what we’re dealing with half the time
