Let’s say you hit the midrange at 45 and the 4 at 37 you take the 4 everytime because it’s the better shot to take.
Dunking would get even more important though.

Agreed, my point is that its easier for a NBA player to shoot 25% from 3 than it is for them to shoot 33%.
25% would have centres pulling up as a semi respectable shot.
Obviously a further point is that defensive schemes change etc which would lead to more spacing and easier cuts etc etc...
