What y’all think of unmastered albums

Some of the unmastered albums I’m familiar with are F&L, College Dropout, MBDTF, Hail To The Thief, Hybrid Theory.

I've only heard the MBDTF unmastered album and it's okay I guess. Better with headphones than the original that's for sure

There's an unbrickwalled Raw Power by Iggy and The Stooges from "brickwallhater" that's my go-to for that album. I think like all things like this it depends how it's done, I've heard some "unmastered" versions of Kanye tracks that although removed those clipping clicks also removed detail and highs along with it which made the mix overall sound off balance.

That was the same case with F&L unmastered, the vocals were easier to pick up but the beats felt like it was way in the back. It’s just interesting to hear the unmastered versions of albums in general
