The Deadline article was the substantive rumor piece and that said "some sources say Clayface is a big addition to The Batman 2." Its interesting he cherrypicks a less reputable tweet that pairs all of these random details together to debunk instead. I never believed that tweet on Scarecrow but the lack of a draft doesn't negate legit rumors of potential plot points anyways
Also interesting he decided to ignore talking about the Clayface film itself which the actual question fans are more interested in.

I always found it kinda odd articles featuring an actual Reeves interview said he confirmed himself he's done with the script and then Gunn said months later he's not finished

Wishful thinking. I don’t think Pattinson is interested in cape s*** cape s***. Plus he said by the time time that slow mf finishes the trilogy in 10 years he may wanna be done acting in general

“In September, Reeves teased the Batman sequel, telling SFX magazine that he planned to shoot in 2025 as he was “finishing up the script now.......We’ve shared the script as we’ve been going along with DC and the studio and they’re super excited,” Reeves told the magazine.
I think something def happened bts and Gunn's kindly passing it off as "Matt has not finished the script nor turned in a first draft"
Matt on September 4: I'm finishing up now and have been sharing scripts with both DC and WB as i progressed.
Matt on September 20: I'm done with the script!
Gunn in November: Matt is not done with the script

Gunn said just today no "no first draft" but the issue is people who write like Matt is explaining don't produce a "first draft." They take in edits and suggestions as they are writing out other portions
Studio should be sending feedback and edits as he's sending things in. Then Matt responds to those at some point while still sending in more portions. When thats all done it isn't a "draft," its just the script.
