I feel like we forget that The Batman kinda struggled to secure people for a bit because of DC's reputation at the time. Colin wasn't the 1st pick for Penguin and I'm pretty sure Dano wasn't either. Zoe was close to not even being in this because of conflicts with Fantastic Beasts loll. This go around is going to be easy in comparison

With Colin's success they gotta be stacking this cast like they're gunning for classic performances and Oscar campaigns

My main point is that I don't think it really matters right now. If you're a smart studio trying to build long term success, this is just an immature topic to have out there before the balls even moving. I think this balance between integration and rushing connections is the one thing DC needs to take notes from Marvel on. Reeves does his stuff, Gunn does his, and if there's a connection then sure do it. There'd be even more fan momentum then than there is now.

Also you're absolutely right to reach your own conclusions here. i sound like a broken record on this, but this is again why i don't like the way Gunn approaches communication. This whole situation shouldn't be this confusing to the point we're ignoring his statements now. It was him who most recently said Brave and the Bold wasn't delayed (after Andy said it was).

Unless there's a Batman x Superman film or team film that's actively in pre-production, then we gotta move on from this.

Batman franchise is already successful and doesn't really require any connection to hold its audience. Unless there's a team up we need to know about, it doesn't do general audience any favors to confuse them further about DC

Matt reiterated he's set on his Batman Epic Crime Saga, and on the red carpet also kinda corroborated some rumors that he had personal stuff going on. What do we gain from knowing this Saga is in DCU before most audiences even know what DCU is.
