ShyWait people hate Scarlett Johanson? She's one of my favorite actresses.
I love her hugely but it was just her caliber/brand as an actor that I was iffy about fitting with the Reeves world. It feels like Pattinson, Dano, Keoghan, Kravitz was a cool zone for the actors to be pulled from. And then for older folks, people like Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, John Turturro. She feels a little too A-List and like the pedigree of movies she comes from takes away from some of the cool factor
but this is all artifice and superficial stuff. Shes a great actor, has a great prescence on screen and i have no doubt that Reeves can use someone like her in an unbelievably cool way

On Jurassic she's the face, MCU, she was there for a decade as a big face, on Exorcist she'll be he face. Jurassic and Exorcist are both reboots too where she's there from the jump
This is likely a 1 and done role, and with it being Reeves Batman, she'll have nowhere near Rob's screen time. Its a franchise sure, but not in the sense of her commitments to literally every other franchise she's signed up for. She has a major role, but she's not the star of this film, nor will stick around as one of its franchise players
There's other options she has than just "do everything to shift my schedule and get me this Batman film"
True but you’re forgetting she was also recently in Transformers as voice role. No face or lead
Also she’s spearheading Exorcist so has the power to push production on that for this

Dec 4, 2025I get Pattinson and Scarlett are technically around the same age, but because of how their careers have played out I really don’t see them that way, and the young Batman that Pattinson is playing only amplifies that.

And then A-listers they were approaching would deny them. They actually have the backing to go for bigger names now cus of the success so far and hype behind this one.
