Or an bat/owl reference. He's reported to be playing Charles Dent (and not Christopher?). I feel like the character is def gonna be a Gotham elite though
I don't think Joe Chill exists here
The way his 2 scenes were set up were intended to make the audience think this was Joe Chill

only reason I'm doubting the Court of Owls rumors is that they feel like a series finale type threat
if you wanted to keep digging at Gotham's corruption, where do you even go from here in the 3rd movie?

Like the guy who shot him definitely exists, but I meant more so I don't think he's relevant in the same way
Felt personally that a lot of Bruce's anger at Alfred late in the film after speaking with Falcone seemed like "maybe we'll never know what happened" Scenes like this ^ also felt like an "it could have been any random crook who hates the Waynes" type situation
If there was an orchestrator though (like mob boss or Owls), Bruce seemed to care about that
He was in a FANTASTIC 2007 German film called The Lives of Others
Germans are insanely good actors which is why you'll always find random names seeping in. Same thing Gunn did with Brainiac
Same with Waltz when Tarantino found him and recently Sandra Huller being in huge Hollywood films

I definitely agree, that was the effect they were getting at
I personally love it when Batman's origin is all hazy and mercurial, more reflective of real life violence and how meaningless death often is. Same thing with Bruce's parents, messy complicated people and he'll never get a definitive answer as to the nature of their character
Koch can literally be anyone
Props to them for managing to keep some names hidden. Like is he a cop? a villain? Wouldn't be random for it to be the latter

Hugo Strange is of german descent in the comics, take that as you will

Oh brother...

Just throwing this out there but pretty sure Victor Fries is also German descent. Doesn't mean much but just noting.
Pretty sure Freeze actually has a history of being played by Austrians/Germans since the 60's
