I remember when people used to believe that MyTimeToShine account was credible. Haven’t seen them posted in a long while

    F*** that account too lol

  • I still think there was more to that "many roles in this one" comment than people let on. This interview is still a part of the Cannes media run before he started shooting.

I don't really buy the idea they sent him to be the 1 guy that can talk about his role, while still being 100% secretive about every role and aspect of the film. And then the first direct quote we have is in a non-english article that is translated.

People are gonna s*** on Sneider but i truly believe he was just reporting what he was told from valid sources. He broke that Stan was Dent and the same guy told him otherwise months later. He's being used. There's still a level to manipulation here

  • YANDHI

Sneider's issue is that he always just believes the next rumor too. He's the one who pushed at the Dent's storyline and fumbled the coverage of Dance's casting. Like you still gotta do critical thinking outside of X is playing Y. I still don't think the misdirect is as simple as "no he's actually playing ___"

Has he considered maybe he's a useful tool they're throwing rumors at? He takes the bait every time. No one even knew Henry was in the film so who knows what they're actually hiding.

Like what kind of quote is this?

He can't say anything, and then immediately says something? Is this an actual line he gave the interviewer?

I also can't say anything about The Batman: Part II, by Matt Reeves, where I play Harvey Dent.

It seems like a case of mistranslation

  • It kinda feels like a fake out but also not

  • This is the full quote by the way. The interviewer didn't ask about or mention Batman. Then in the middle of a comment about how he doesn't reveal info to journalists, he voluntarily brings up Batman, says he can't say anything about it, then says something about it to a journalist unprovoked.

Feels like the cue was for him to mention Batman things throughout his Cannes press, even here when the interviewer didn't ask. ScarJo hasn't even acknowledged the film yet and she was doing press at Cannes too

What about Avengers: Doomsday , by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, which is coming out on December 16th?

SS Honestly, I have absolutely no idea. Because we didn't have a script. We were just shooting scattered scenes. It's a different way of working, continuous, constantly evolving. The producers didn't want us to read it in its entirety, to avoid journalists asking us questions. (Laughs.) I've been following this rule for fifteen years, I'm used to it. I also can't say anything about The Batman: Part II , by Matt Reeves, where I play Harvey Dent (in theaters February 16, 2028, editor's note). The beauty of this profession also lies in participating in projects of this scale, which I love as a viewer. Right now, I'm really looking forward to seeing The Odyssey , by Christopher Nolan; it looks amazing.

Article got scrubbed of the Dent mention. Knew something was wrong about that quote. That did not feel like a real thing a human would say to an interviewer and just insert information unprovoked

edit: TheWrap saying it was misquote thewrap.com/creative-content/movies/sebastian-stan-hasnt-confirmed-harvey-dent-in-the-batman-part-2

    Let’s not MCUify this process

I kinda support it here given the nature of the film.

They've been filming for over 2 months without a single peep, leaked photo or cast sighting on set. We have no clue what the movie is even about beyond vague rumors, nor were even aware of some castings until Reeves said it. If they can hold tight to the mystery why not?

There's no real incentive to tell us yet either
