I assume there's def a show waiting they're being tight lipped about. We first started hearing about potential shows like the GCPD one mere days after he first signed his deal back in 2020. Prob won't know for a min but kinda expected news. I imagine the overall film one will re-up as well
Also, Variety can exclusively reveal that Matt Reeves and his 6th & Idaho production shingle (“The Penguin”) have reupped their overall deal with Warner Bros. TV. Reeves and company first signed on in 2020 to produce all TV projects with the studio. (“Matt has a true knack for getting into the psyche of his characters and he and his team have delivered some of the most compelling, thought-provoking stories over the years,” Dungey says.)

Still think either the catwoman or poison ivy shows might happen
I don't trust none of these mafia movie comparisons. They said penguin show was The Sopranos in DC. What a f***ing lie that turned out to be

The broad strokes were def there
Sadly story telling wise it was more like Power, 5 million drive bys/kidnappings and double crosses per episode with the plot armor main characters inexplicably surviving even when it don’t make any sense
That said I ain’t mad at the “dark knight is a crime movie” takes tho

Palme dor means nothing anymore
These quotes are coming from actors who really do not say stuff like this. Very uncharacteristic from both Rob and Sebastian recently.
I have no doubt about this film but its cool to see the excitement from them mid-production. Some of us have been talking about Godfather Part 2 relating to this in this thread for years so kinda hard to be surprised there. First one has an identical runtime.
We aren't revisiting many if any of the old sets, new production designer, new cinematographer, no covid restrictions, etc.. Curious just how different its gonna look
I don’t think the comparison is worth setting up crazy expectations vs articulating in a complete thought what is special about the movie but go off
According to who?
The world
That’s why nobody gives a s*** about today’s Palme winners
Wild at Heart, Barton Fink, Pulp Fiction, Taste of Cherry… these are actual winners that stood the test of time and everyone recognizes as all time cinema
Anatomy of a fall, titane, triangle of sadness, it was just an accident aren’t bad movies but they don’t compare one bit to the movies I just named. And half of these won’t even be remembered in 20 years. Anora was their best pick and it’s already a movie losing relevancy.
Omg im already f***ing excited as is
