and that is how i am about most art even after it gets announced or gets a date. that will be cool when it happens and I will think about it when its in the final stretch of a yar to 6 months no sooner

It definitely gets easier to have this approach with age. Sort of a blessing and a curse. It is fun being young and having your releases that make you feel like a kid counting down days till Christmas. But at the same time, it’s nice not letting the stuff that’s just never coming consume you.

With age you feel blessed to be alive another day and know nothing is promised so you enjoy art , memories with loved ones and other things daily. Counting down days to christmas is good example for some each delay is "I CANT SEE MY PRESENT I WANT IT NOW YOU PROMISED ME DECEMBER 25TH" when for grown adults its not "I need more leaks I need them I need them I cant deal with a surprise when the movie drops" its just recognizing life happens. Some christmas you get socks. Some you get your favorite gift. All year round can be a blessing not just the checkpoints of christmas and birthday when its a celebrating getting you things

Yeah I remember watching a BTS special feature for TDK saying they designed the film to have a definitive closure, with no potential sequel in mind (unlike Begins).

Goyer did write a treatment for a potential third film back in 2005, but said treatment involved the Joker scarring Harvey Dent and him becoming Two-Face.

He literally has talked about his plans with heath for a third movie
