I think it’s more the fact that Soderbergh actually used generative AI in his Lennon doc and didn’t shy away from it. So that combined with the statement got people nervous.
But they’re not gonna use AI.

Reeves has signed multiple deals with WB and was basically given the keys to the Batman universe. He gets executive producer credits on any Batman related projects, including DCU projects .

This kinda thing doesn’t usually happen unless the circumstances are extreme or serious.
But props to soderbergh for offering to finish the movie and matt giving his blessing to let him do it.

My theory is someone in his family dying. Maybe his wife or kid has a horrible illness. I would get someone saying ‘I don’t really care to be away from them in their final months to make my movie’ in those circumstances.
(Ofc normal people have to go to their job every day regardless of their tragedies but yeah. Empathy for those folks too)
