Given some of the plot points in The Penguin, I wouldn’t be surprised if this movie is inspired by No Man’s Land.

I think some aspects of NML have already been adapted. This is probably the furthest extent i feel. It's a mix of Dark Victory and NML

In Penguin they already gave a nod to Crown Point particularly being "a no mans land." Other elements of the story like Batman being MIA (maybe Bruce is lobbying for aid or something), crime rampant, etc.. are already here. Its more limited but i think it does the job as they transition the mob scene and open towards a new villain in the sequel

Sequel will be a Reeves iteration of the phase where Batman returns, but mixed with other adaptations based on whatever plot and villain he goes with
