@Elric it reminds me that burt bacharach was the major influence on lets go away for a while and in fact it turns out there was gonna vocals add on that song 😢 but capitol said u can only use that one last session to do mixing so they had to scrap it

anyway some dude in the 90s decided to write lyrics to it and add vocals making it even more bacharac esque song

it’s amazing

dude sounds a lot like sean lennon tho

the album it comes from is titled dumb angel which is the title brian tentatively had originally for smile

i havnt listened to the whole album yet but i assume with the title reference and the effort put into this it would be in the same vibe

could be wrong

really want to check it out now bc this s*** is amazing tbh it took great courage and talent to pull this off and it works amazing
