yeah I just wasn’t made is a personal fav, theremin solo is always a win in my book, but i just feel like caroline and don’t y’all are always more easy approach for new comers or younger ppl bc of the more simple ballad and very melodic nature of it

Sloop John B is the song that first hooked me ngl i was way more into the early ballads and I Get Around, Good Vibrations for a long time. Pet Sounds a grower... and i dont just mean repeated listens but personal growth in life. I couldnt quite relate when i was a teenager.

depends what sort of music you’ve ventured before going into it, it’s definitely not an instant one listen album catchy, that’s why it wasn’t a hit, it’s a very complex rich pop album

if you jump in it without context it’s hard to get ahold of just how magical it is you might feel out of place

try to listen to some of the best songs from it as stand alone to get more into the feel of it

as beautiful as god only knows imo

or maybe try another album before going back into it, imo sunflower is far easier

i listened to some beatles albums and i liked a bunch of songs from them so i wanted to get more into 60s music and s*** 🤔 but sounds interesting i’ll check out the songs u posted and sunflower too

pet sounds is less accessible than anything beatles ever done, so it takes either multiple listens or a specific time in ur life for it to click idk, there’s definitely no other albums that sounds like pet sounds tho that’s for sure
