(this is a bonus european cd that came in the good vibrations 30th beach boys anniversary boxset, 1993 - some obscure post pet sounds tracks on it)
Daft Punk would consider Brian Wilson the ultimate collaborator.
The French dance duo - Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter - would love to work with the legendary Beach Boys singer and songwriter, but are too starstruck to approach him.
Thomas, 38, told US radio station KROQ: "I ran into him at Henson Recording Studios when they were recording the 'We Are the World' 25th anniversary version with Quincy Jones for the Haiti hurricane relief, but we didn't speak.
Guy, 39, added: "I only saw his car in the parking lot of the studio, and I stopped and stared for two minutes at it.
"It would be too overwhelming to meet Brian Wilson. I think I would faint.â

such a great concept and song, itâs incredible how much homage and respect dp gave to those that inspired them in the beginning (and end) of their career. and to that brian point, i have to imagine they used noah as a brian surrogate to some extent on this song, it sounds like it was made with him in mind lyrics n voice n all, which also apparently was their last recorded song. Talk abt full circle

its not as bad as i expected so far. i mean its quite bad but not the worst thing ive ever heard, i'm on track 6 and only Summer of Love was like 1/10 level bad
the drum sound is hilariously awful though

man i hate the surfin remix lol
hot fun is heh, a cover so wtv
summer of love letâs pretend that isnât a thing
but island fever is highkey a big bop, earwormy af but ppl will hate it bc they have to, itâs written
still surfin melody is kinda nice the rest is boring and mikes vocals performance is peak nasally but i like the melody
the gem here is lahaina aloha
carls chorus on that one >>>>>
imagine someone made a decent cool cover of that song like dinosaur jr where the guitar solo would make more sense than on the bbs recording and like if dino jr did that song everyone wouldâve loved it
