BlueDreamPhenomenal season. They went a completely different direction for this season, and itās way more ambitious
Season 1 was very claustrophobic, it feels like you spend almost all of the time in the kitchen and you are barely given anytime to see the outside world. The kitchen feels like the whole world
But with season 2 you spend almost no time in the restaurant, instead you spend a lot of time seeing the outside lives of each character.
The writers really flesh out all of the characters, and it really benefits the showTo your first part, I think thematically it's solid in the sense that's really what working in a kitchen feels like. I did fine dining for maybe two years because that's all you can take if you're not truly in love with the s***.

To your first part, I think thematically it's solid in the sense that's really what working in a kitchen feels like. I did fine dining for maybe two years because that's all you can take if you're not truly in love with the s***.
O yea I have no doubt that kitchen jobs probably feel claustrophobic af, and season 1 does a phenomenal job portraying that feeling
But I also donāt think this show wouldnāt be sustainable if every season was mainly them just in that small kitchen working. It was definitely necessary for the show to expand itās scope and show us more of the outside world in order to keep the show feeling fresh
