I finished it a while ago, it was beautiful. couldnt have had a better director shed a light on this guys life and the beatles in general. martin did a great job at bringing out the humanity of such an unreal figure in history.

finished reading the beatles anthology. bro they didnt think they were all that not at the level i was expecting but at the same time they did. they found it all funny, in an arrogant way. they didnt really take themselves seriously at all. didnt feel a need to take social responsibility as pop icons

i thought they'd be in the studio like picasso etching out masterpieces all seriously and artist like, but they simply f***ed around until they came up with something.

great read for fans. it shows the relationship dynamics, their rise and struggles, etc. and the inclusion of each member in chronological order. i wish it had more of their d*** use, spirituality, and its relation to their artistic experimentation, though. and more studio sessions in general tbh.

yall heard the esher demos? its basically the white album unplugged, recorded at georges place after they came back from india back in 68. this version of julia on there is even better than the finished version imo. with pauls subtle harmonizing in the background, lennons vocals and the heart-bending beautiful outro from all 3 on acoustic guitars feeding off eachother; this is a moment i point to when people say the beatles were overrated musically. you can hear alot of elliott smith in these recordings
