I live in Germany and the canteen cook of my old school is Turkish so she would serve us Döner at least once a month - it was a celebration for every student.
And she would always allow me to eat twice because I‘m Turkish, too

One school I went to, they had this super basic lunch on I think Thursdays that was hot chicken noodle soup and brownies they made on site. Nothing special about it at all really, but as a kid that combo really hit the spot, especially on cold days.
