Said it before and I’ll say it again, Drake needs to develop a serious heroin habit before recording any more music. This would be the best possible career move for him.

He would produce a deranged, dark, d***ged out experimental album that would be praised. He’d give grizzly accounts of life and the situations he gets into while being a fiend, and hustling pills on the side to fuel his addiction as people begin to distance themselves from him. Soon it would come out about his addiction and the media would be buzzing. Scandal after scandal would arise and he’d be the most talked about person in the world as he continues down this dark path of addiction and insanity. Then, he would get arrested for possession and do a stint in jail, adding credibility to the hard image he’s been trying to adopt for sometime. The #FreeDrake movement would be like nothing we’ve ever seen before and it would spark an international conversation about how we treat addicts (rehabilitative vs punitive punishment.

Drake would get out, get clean, and become the face of the opiate epidemic sweeping North America, opening him up to even wider audiences and platforms. His first album after release would sell a million first week and be praised, as Drizzy explores a whole new realm of lyrical content reflecting on his past degenerate behavior and becomes a symbol of hope for millions dealing with addiction. This would be great for his image, solidify him as one of the greatest rappers ever, and create worldwide change that benefits millions for years to come.

The best possible thing drake could do for his career is to start doing as much dog food as possible, as soon as possible.

Did fantano ask a 15 year old boy on stream why wouldn't he let a man f*** him?

Is it really building traction for him?

Cause I know I'm not the only one who has completely tuned out this Iceman rollout because of the weird antics of people like Akademiks and Mal.

I know it's a lot of Drake fans who hate Akademiks and hate that Drake associates with him because it gives him a bad reputation.

Drake is still a big artist, and like I said, still has a lot of influence. I promise you, he doesn't need Akademiks for traction. If he does, that's a very bad sign for him.

Personally I think it’s to keep him in touch with the youth. Nobody with a real job and life is keeping tabs on AK for Drake news so my assumption is he’s trying to keep a pulse with the younger folks who consume that type of content

FWIW I am one of those fans that can’t stand those dudes either lol

How could drake make ak irrelevant when he could just talk about other s*** lol

  • Drake and his fans/media groupies have been a massive negative influence/effect on hip hop. I’m afraid there is no going back, either

What else is he going to talk about? All he does is cover bullshit, and it's seeming like the majority of people don't really care for it anymore.

He's been one of the loudest voices of "hip-hop is dead/dying", and he barely covers anything outside of mainstream acts. And the underground acts he does cover are ass and only popular for the one year they blow up in. Can't imagine that being a winning formula for long term content and success.

He'll likely end up like Starr where he's still talking about bullshit, but extremely irrelevant.

He doesn't owe yall s*** after the bullshit yall been saying for a couple of years

Also, he's not your saviour - he doesnt pretend to be either, unlike some

Yall faves like Carti be doing the most with Akademiks but no one is crying about what he's doing

Performative bollocks. Give it a rest, no one is buying it

Is keeping up with the youth really even worth it though? Especially with how fickle they are, and are apparently moving away from rap/hip-hop these days based on its streaming/charting performance as of late?

Maybe Jay Z was actually onto something? Drake would probably be much better off catering to the core audience that has grown up while he's continuing to focus on what kids like

Actually this deserves a more nuanced take down because it's so easy.

    1. Nobody has ever claimed Drake to be a savior. So...no idea what you're desperately attempting here. If anything, the only people likening him to a "savior" are his smooth brain stans who think he's going to "save hip-hop" with this album because they don't actually care about the genre or culture, they just care about Drake and his sales.

    2. Carti is not my "fav". And he's corny as f*** for a various amount of reasons outside of Akademiks.

    3. You're a spiraling Eurocac with the music taste of a teenage girl. No wonder honest and fair criticism of Drake and the weirdos he associates with gets you fuming like an irrational spaz.

You’re preaching man. I think Drake could offer a lot on the introspective side for his age. I’ve been growing with him since high school and would love more mature themed raps that are relatable (obviously the degree of separation is larger now with him being an A1 celebrity) but that’s a pipe dream for now. Still hoping for that mature album maybe in a decade or so

Yall underestimate how entrenched Ak actually is in Hip Hop.

I seen a guy ask a question in chat and Ak texted said question to Lil Waynes manager.

He just speaks with anybody from DSPs, Execs, Rappers, Managers, ARs etc.

Bruh is just an absolute degen.
