I can’t remember the exact details but Dewayne said the idea for this movie came when he was in a comedy sketch or actors group with all black actors and joked that a casting director or an agent or something would be forced to pick someone of color if they blew up then said it’d be like if a horror movie had an all black cast who would die first. It started as a sketch before expanding it to a full feature
