It’s not a bad song, just painfully generic. Lyrics are standard s***, flow is something gunna would use on a throwaway track, melodies range from ok to weak (gets really bad at the end of the first verse because he’s doing some kind of high-pitched squeal)

Tbh I finally heard the song yesterday and it's a smash.. Thugger paved the lane for him and was more than half a decade ahead of his time, many of his songs deserved to go #1.. Roddy definitely benefited from the shift in mainstream hip hop being in his favor, but that's how it always was and The Box is still great.
