Either live with family or have roommates. I seen apartments right in LA start around $1300 a month so if you don't mind sharing that space you could pay just half of that.
It also helps when your roommate is also your SO which makes it a bit easier when it comes to living arrangements. I have been looking at apartments in LA and I found some okay ones for about $1600-1700 a month which I would paying only $800-850 which is not bad for living in L.A

I work in tech as SWE so I wouldn’t really be able to tell you how much nurses make but I do know some nurses make at least over six figures here in California, depending I guess.
