nah central valley. ngl, the 40 min walk was actually p cool. i dont go into central sf very often and its always cool to look at all the architecture instead of driving right past it.

Yeah, times have changed and you have to assume the worst out of people. Everyone is a lick waiting to happen and gun laws and the penal code here enable more theft. In states with open carry and make my day law people think twice before they try. Here there are no consequences for petty theft so naturally as is customary in California culture, they gonna hit licks

Good luck to anybody trying to get a new auto insurance policy in cali. All major providers are pulling out of the state. I had to jump through so many hoops to finally get one from allstate. S*** is crazy

State keeps passing laws/regulations that benefit the customer and prevent them from raising premiums so they're losing money and deciding that they just don't want the business anymore

like you gotta be able to still get geico or some s*** right?

That's the part that annoys me the most. They're closing down offices and leaving but they technically can't deny u coverage just because u live in CA, that's illegal. But they can make it super f***ing hard to get approved. They're "hiding" their quotes from 3rd party services/agents, and a lot of them won't let u use their own quote system online either.

Out of all the companies I tried I could only successfully get a quote from gieco and allstate. Gieco made me wait 2 weeks and then at the end of those 2 weeks they mailed me a letter telling me that I need to send additional documentation through the mail, and that it was due before the end of the same day that I received the letter. They mailed it 3 days prior so that was clearly a f*** you lmao. I have a squeaky clean driving record too so them having me do all that is crazy af.

After being on the phone with Allstate for almost 2 hours they told me they couldn't finalize my policy through the phone and that I'd have to go to a physical location to finish it. Luckily I live near one and was able to get it but man I asked the lady at the agency wtf was going on and she told me how hard it is for people to get policies now and if u don't have a clean driving record you're pretty much f***ed
