This game intriguing me but not enough for $70
Might do a free trial of GameFly and rent this
free trial of gamefly
something about this game seems off that’s why i’m not getting hyped
mood something about it has felt off in coverage. I feel like in a way he should have done a new setting entirely separate from dead space comparison but respect he is doing his initial vision
free trial of gamefly
Gotta do what you gotta do

Does the game seem to be doing anything interesting outside of just combat?
Like, Dead Space has Zero G sections, puzzle sections, turret sections etc.
I get the sense that this game is just ultra linear, moody hallways into combat arenas and that’s kind of it.
It’s kind of funny that the Dead Space remake comes out just a month after it too, which is likely to end up being the better game.

THEY STUDIED HORROR BRO
THEY STUDIED HORROR BRO
The fact that they’re advertising new death animations as part of the season pass gives me strong 2005 edge-lord vibes.
I feel like I’m just kind over that type of horror tbh.

I mean they are making them and all the content from season pass from scratch but still
crazy that Capcom really came back from all the hate of all the editions and season passes only for the rest of the industry to do that

I know that, but to highlight that specifically is so weird. Like, bordering on fetishistic.

And a lot of them don’t have the franchises to go back to like Capcom if, or when, that s*** fails and they over-extend themselves.
It’s such short-term thinking.

lol I mean the whole promo campaign they have prided themselves on death animations. They do look cool and its a small detail that makes you stay invested I guess. Shrug gore wise it nearly feels like a Manga artist theme would be better than abandoned space ship again. like Junji ito or Shintaro Kago. Glenn Schofield and his inspirations risk all of this feeling redundant but it is what it is. I don't know if this is something people will clamor for a sequel for

Especially considering space horror, or space in general, seems to be the new hotness at the moment.
It’s likely to get lost in the shuffle unless it offers something really unique, and not just end up being looked to as a pale imitation of a better game.
Apparently the review embargo lifts the day of release as well
Even Midnight Suns is lifting their’s 2 days beforehand.

This exactly why i was skeptical earlier itt. If you showed someone this game they’d tell you it’s dead space 4. And of all the years for any dead space content to come out, it comes out a month after like ya said
